MGF&S Santa Fe was the birthplace of the Modcake, our sweet and savory twist on everyone’s childhood favorite. Rich fillings, fresh vegetables and fruits, scratch-made toppings.

Modern General Feed & Seed opened in Santa Fe in 2015, but was in the works before that! A breakfast-oriented, full service, aggressive scratch-made menu located near downtown Santa Fe. Our goal is to make customers feel nourished, healthy and light, but still satisfied.

Wellness with joy.

Easily one of the best breakfasts I’ve had! My over-medium egg was perfectly cooked and the coconutcakes are the best pancakes I’ve ever had. The atmosphere is lovely - visually appealing cookbooks, home wares & amazing smells coming from the kitchen. The employees are all very kind and helpful - definitely recommend!

Really amazing atmosphere, curated wares, and everything we consumed was excellent. Pho-sole (posole + pho), chicken curry sandwich, lemon flapjacks, hot cocoa.

I adore this place. The food is sensational. I wanted to go to other places in Santa Fe but this space drew me in every morning. The light, the interior, the colors, it speaks happy morning. And everyone is so friendly!!! By now I ate the menu up and down and really everything is delicious!!!
